- Become educated regarding infant death. Although the incidence of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) has been dramatically decreased over the past 30 years (Source: American SIDS Institute), it continues to be the "leading cause of death of infants between one month and one year of age... We can reduce the overall SIDS rate by understanding the risk factors and adopting protective measures to minimize the risks"(Source: ISPID).
